EcoAllene is an innovative new material (group of materials) made from recycling polylaminated waste, i.e. made of a plastic layer and a metal layer.
HUNDREDS OF APPLICATIONS
The innovation lies in the opportunity to create a new ecological plastic material that has a wide variety of uses. It recycles items that are otherwise sent to landfill or for incineration, such as packaging for fluid foodstuffs, bags for oily products, sweet wrappers, “non-compostable” pods for hot drinks, etc.

The patent is the result of an experiment which concluded with a pilot plant being set up that has allowed industrial production for widespread sampling in different industrial sectors.
The core innovation lies in the treatment of waste without separating the two or more components (plastic layer + metallic layer.)This keeps them aggregated in the new formulation throughout the production process.

New Zeland Plant
The University of Auckland has already tested EcoAllene for a new, innovative, worldwide development, and other tests are currently underway. The material is of interest due to its minimal metal content.
Thanks to the contacts with local partner RePlan, relationships have been forged with potential local investing institutions for the establishment of an EcoAllene production plant.
A current producer and user of EcoAllene frames is keen to develop a new strengthened formula for the production of larger frames, which are in particular demand in the American market.
