EcoAllene is an innovative new material (group of materials) made from recycling “polylaminated waste”, i.e. it is made up of a plastic layer and a metal layer.
The innovation is the creation of a new ecological plastic material that has a wide variety of uses. It recycles items that are otherwise sent to landfill or for incineration: packaging for fluid foodstuffs, bags for oily products, sweet wrappers, “non-compostable” pods for hot drinks, etc.
The products are manufactured using a patented production process, licensed by the Swiss company REPLAN Global Sagl, which is the sole proprietor of the trademark, the patent, the technical experience and procedures used in manufacturing EcoAllene.
The patent is the result of a trial which concluded with a pilot plant being set up allowing industrial production for widespread sampling in different industries. The products sold successfully on the market. The trial was considered a success.
The basis of the innovation of the production process lies in the treatment of waste without separating two or more components (plastic film + metallic film), instead keeping them aggregated in the new formulation throughout the process under development.
The innovation reduces recycling costs. Therefore the finished products have a significant competitive advantage over its direct competitor, plastic.

The ongoing research for recycling solutions in particular those that are currently earmarked for high environmental impact disposal, put EcoAllene® at the heart of the issue.
EcoPlasTeam’s willingness to continue investing in this research demonstrates the environmental spirit of the people involved in the project.
Primary home plastics are produced from oil, whilst the “oil” of EcoAllene® is food packaging waste: constant in composition and characteristics over time.
The above allows EcoAllene® to be repeatedly recycled and in batches that are delivered to the customer. This allows the customer to process it as a high-grade product, with multiple transformation parameters, avoiding the need for continual adjustments, typical of recycled heterogenous plastic products.
Uniformity is an essential and fundamental condition when self-colouring with pigments on the press (pellets, powders, pastes, etc.).
The aluminium content, which varies according to the needs of the customer, creates a “glitter” effect without the use of specific masters.
Using a base with contained characteristics (low-density polyethylene), EcoAllene® can only be improved, so its reintegration into the production cycle can, theoretically, be infinite.
Its properties will be defined and optimized during the process until the requirements demanded by the customer or the market are met.
EcoAllene® is the pragmatic response to a global need to recover this waste.
In the production phase with the pilot plant, EcoAllene® and EPT have encountered interest from Mexico, New Zealand, Germany, India, China, Colombia, the United States, Brazil.
Its versatility when formulated with natural materials is a further plus point to the Customer.
The base product is obtained from an agglomerate which, with a simple additivation, is granulated with 2-3 different levels of filtration, according to the aesthetic requirements of the parts to be produced.
As with AL 102 the base product is obtained from an agglomerate which, with a simple additivation, is compounded with other waste and granulated with 2-3 different levels of filtration, according to the aesthetic requirements of the parts to be produced.
